Slow on just one site

This is likely not a network issue!

  • The website/app itself may be slow or down
  • Try accessing the site from a different device
  • Check if the site is down: downdetector.com
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Try a different browser

VPN is slow

This is normal!

VPN connections are typically slower than direct connections because your traffic is encrypted and routed through a VPN server.

To improve VPN speed:

  • Disconnect from VPN when not accessing company resources
  • Use split-tunneling if available (only route work traffic through VPN)
  • Try a different VPN server location
  • Use ethernet instead of Wi-Fi

  4. Disable power saving:
    • Windows: Device Manager → Network Adapters → Properties → Power Management → Uncheck "Allow computer to turn off this device"
